FRESH: Bokito Deliver Tropic Goodness With ‘Aloof’

By Liam Menzies (@blnkclyr)

Having had an interesting year where the act have never hit the brakes, donning a nomination for Glastonbury Emerging Talent and a herd of critical acclaim, Irish-London act Bokito have crafted Aloof, a track that possesses their trade-mark sound known as “Tropic Indie”.

Featuring eccentric percussion and various instrumentals reminiscent of front-man Moses’ homeland, Aloof stands out as an interesting track both in what it says and how it says it: speaking of identity and loss of it due to his family searching for employment in a foreign place, the distinct vocals and aforementioned percussion gives an eerie yet optimistic vibe, truly hyping up this alt-rock outfit to be a breath of fresh air.
